Empty Products #3 | Things I've Used Up

I know I can definitely be a bit a of hoarder, you just never know if you'll need something a few days/months/years/centuries down the track...  am I right or am I right? But in the beauty blogging world sometimes I think my hoarding is taken to whole other level - and it is perfectly acceptable, most of the time. I mean, who really needs about 15 different lipsticks of the same but different shade? We definitely do. That mascara/foundation/eye cream (or any beauty product really...) you haven't used in months and probably shouldn't use again if we are being perfectly honest, but still keep anyway because you know ... what if?! Plus the packing is probably to darn to pretty to depart with as well ...

And don't even get me started on keeping empty products. I truly believe that the beauty blogging community is the only one that doesn't bat an eye when someone starts rambling about all the trash they've kept. When you really think about it, it is quite absurd but we love it anyway. That brings me to today's post, a little bit of a trash talk about all the products I've used up in the last few weeks. Plus it is a great excuse for me to hoard my beauty products just that lil bit longer...

A lot of them I will repurchase in the future (or I already have hehe), but others I am sure I can live without.

5 of the Best MAC Lipsticks you need in your Collection

For as long as I can remember I have always loved make-up.

You might be able to relate to me here - I can recall a 5 year-old me sitting in front of my mum's make-up vanity, opening up her make-up bag and to my delight (and probably her absolute horror) applying lashings of red lippy and the odd purple eyeshadow. Then the 10-year old me did ballet and tap dancing, and the best part of it wasn't the dancing itself but putting on light stage make-up before our performances. When I was 12 I remember being obsessed with any pink sparkly lipstick and clear mascara, and at 17 it was the beginning of foundation experimentation. And now at 22? Let's just say that the obsession is at full peak and we'll leave it at that.

But no matter how over rated and cliche some people may think the brand to be, I think my love with make-up really began with my fist MAC purchase. There is just something so satisfying with that little black bag I think! From memory my fist MAC purchase was a lipstick in the shade Angel. I remember reading that it was Kim K's lipstick of choice and of course I just had to have it ( but my Kardashian obsession is probably a blog post for another time...)

Till this day I still love MAC lipsticks and I don't think I will ever really stop loving them. They have such a great range of colours and finishes, there is literally a lipstick for evey occasion or mood. I have tried and loved many other brands but on some days you just have to return to your trusty faves. So today's blog post is all about my most loved MAC lipstick shades at the moment - because god knows how often my favourite lipstick shade changes - but these five are what I think are a pretty good round up to have in your collection.

October Favourites + I'm Back!

I have been a very, very naughty blogger - if I can even go so far to be called one anymore. It has been (and I say this with great horror and disgust) just over a year since I last blogged. Let me just say that again, for some extra added shock value, one WHOLE year (*cue disgusted gasps here*). To be honest, I am kind of shocked myself and surprised that I can even remember how to write a blog post let alone remember my login details! I just cannot believe that it has been more than a year since I have last sat behind my computer screen and wrote out a blog post - extremely pathetic, I know.

And in saying that my last post was pretty pathetic as well, I do recall making some lame sorry excuses then too about how life got too hard and blah blah blah. The excuses this time are not too different as well, but what has been happening in my life can be a whole separate blog post in itself. But let's just keep it short and simple shall we? I have been well and great, I did and experienced some new and exciting things, meet plenty of new people and a few I would rather forget completely. Some of you I may have kept in contact with as I work with a lot of you gals on a daily basis, and I guess you can say that is what inspired me to come back! So hello, how you have you been? I have missed you all so very much! This time I will try to hang around for a wee bit longer than last time but I think it's better that we don't make promises we can't keep, am I right?

So let's start this off the right way, since we have officially reached the end of October (how the heck it is November now, beats me!) with all the things I have been currently loving - my October favourites. Spoiler alert, this will probably be a looooong one (I haven't blogged in a while, ya know).
