How often do you take the time to really take a step back, breathe and have a moment to actually appreciate your life? I know I definitely don't do it often (or at all if I am being honest!) If you are anything like me, you might get easily swept in the busyness of your day to day life. Between juggling a full-time job, my blog and just life in general, sometimes I get frustrated and stressed out with how many things I have on my plate at any given time. But some are not as lucky as I am. Sure, I have my own struggles and roadblocks in life but I never really appreciate the life that I have. I barely spare a thought to be grateful to be as busy as I am, to have the opportunities that I am presented with, and the family and friends that I have supporting me.
So with this Circa Home candle and Gratitude Notepad having just arrived on my door step, what better time than the present to take a moment to appreciate and be grateful for the things I have in my life.
*Post brought to you by Nuffnang and Circa Home*
I can without a doubt say that one of the biggest things that I am grateful for is the ability to do what I love for a living. For those that don't know, outside of blogging I work on the 'other side of the things' so to speak in the beauty PR and communications industry in a position that I absolutely love and one that I am extremely grateful for. Everyday I get to work with such incredible talent surrounded by amazing products. I am of course appreciative of the opportunities, challenges and people who have helped me get to where I am today.
I am also grateful for my mum. I know that without her I would not be half the person that I am today. She always pushes me to be the best person that I can possibly be and to never settle for something that isn't good enough for me. Her strength and selflessness inspires me every day of my life.
If there is one that reminds me of my mum it is candles. Growing up there would always be a candle lit somewhere in my home. I remember many shopping trips being spent in various candle shops picking out the latest addition to her collection. Her favourites would always be something clean and fresh. I guess that is where my own love from candles comes from except of the warm vanilla and caramel variety.
And just in time for Mother's Day, Circa Home one of my favourite Australian made candle brands have brought out this Limited Edition Honeyflower and Sandlewood candle*, which is a part of their Mother's Day Collection and is as warm and inviting as a hug from mum herself. The candle reminds us of all that we are grateful for and to cherish those that we love.
The Gratitude candle itself is a soy wax candle with a creamy blend of honeyflower and sandlewood with notes of cucumber and vanilla - a combination of both my mum's and my own favourite scents. It comes in the Circa Home signature recyclable glass packaging with the added 'gratitude' wording on the jar that adds a simple and luxe touch to my bedside table. The scent is not too overpowering but is instead is quite subtle creating a lovely warm atmosphere (perfect with winter around the corner for us southern hemisphere-ians) that lingers in the room quite nicely.
Circa Home are also giving you the chance to WIN their Limited Edition Gratitude Gift Pack, which I think makes the perfect gift for the leading lady in your life for Mother's Day - I know my mum loves it already!
What are some of the things that you are grateful for? Let me know below!
I think it's so important to be grateful as well, every day in fact. Personally I'm extremely grateful for my mum as well, I don't know where I'd be without her!

I definitely wouldn't know what to do without mine either! x
DeleteWhat a lovely idea. It's hard to get wrapped up in 'what's wrong' with your life that we often forget the important things. After our recent debacles, I am grateful to have a roof over my head and a space to call my own! Something almost all of us have but we often take for granted. Great post :)

Thanks Kate! As the perfectionist that I am I always tend to look at the negatives on my life and what can be fixed or improved. While sometimes that is good i really need to be grateful for what I have more often! x

DeleteWhat a lovely post! I didn't realise you worked in PR Chantalle!!! That would be amazing! I would love to have worked in this area if I had my time back. I work in mental health which I also love but it's just such a mismatch in industries that sometimes it's hard!

Thanks Sarah! Haha yes I do, I work for the brands RosehipPLUS and Natura Siberica, which you have probably come across ;) Mental Health would be so rewarding, but PR especially beauty PR is what I love, and goes very well with blogging! xx
